RFoG Solutions

RFoG (radio frequency over glass) network technologies were introduced to enable the bi-directional HFC services, such as DOCSIS 2 & 3, on a passive optical network infrastructure. RFoG eliminates all amplifiers and field electronics and extends the optical network to each household. The distribution network inside of a home is the same as HFC, and service operations are the same as in conventional HFC. RFoG has been standardized by the SCTE and operates on the same physical infrastructure as EPON, GPON, 10 GEPON systems. Titan Photonics has developed a set of standard based RFoG ONUs and RFoG head-end equipment tailored specifically to support RFoG networks. Together they provide high performance, simple deployment, and long service life for HFC/RFoG deployments.
